New Jersey News Releases

(NewJersey.CityRegions.Com, April 07, 2015 ) Monroe, NJ -- As the weather becomes warmer and more Spring-like in many areas of the United States, people will resume their favorite outdoor activities and pursue new outdoor adventures. While this one hobby may not be for everyone, a person will most likely know of a family member, friend, colleague, etc. who enjoys soaking up the great outdoors by camping. The camping activities and accessories offered in 2015 are not the same type as the camping activities and accessories that relatives of generations past were privy to. While the tried-and-true method of pitching a tent and sleeping in a sleeping bag is still a popular camping option, camping itself has evolved into a lifestyle that has facilitated and, in some cases, glamorized camping. A term was even created "glamping" – to put humor behind some people's ideas of camping in an RV outfitted with amenities similar to a home. Regardless of an individual's idea of how to enjoy camping, there are common accessories that every camper should consider bringing along for their next outdoor adventure. The team at PermaCharger created a list of the top 5 items that would be added to a future camping packing list to facilitate the team's experience.
1. Sea to Summit's Specialist tent. This company created both single and double-occupancy tents, weighing 22 oz and 29 oz, respectively, to eliminate unnecessary weight for the individual carrying the item(s). In fact, these tents can be wrapped so small that they are slightly larger than a Nalgene bottle. Another "wow" factor of these products is the double-occupancy tent has two separate entrances and compartments for keeping gear out of the elements.
2. Millet Baikal Extend sleeping bag. Just as important as having a roof over one's head in the great outdoors is having a comfortable area to rest after a long day in the outdoors. While this sleeping bag is slightly heavier (3.4 lbs) than other sleeping bags, the sleeping bag allows for movement while sleeping and has layers of fibers to keep its inhabitant warm.
3. PermaCharger 11000mAh Portable Charger. PermaCharger charges any device with a 5V USB input and has a dual USB output that charges two devices simultaneously. Included is an iPhone 5/6 lightning cable, 1 micro cable, 3 USB connectors (to be used with Nokia, Samsung, Android, LG, etc. devices), and an AC wall adapter. This charger also has a built-in LED flashlight torch, which will be useful for searching for items in an area of compromised lighting.
4. CamelBak Pursuit 24LR pack. This 3-lb pack is ideal for all-day excursions. This pack is unique to its kind due to how the water reservoir is stored. Not only does the low location of water storage balance the weight of the rest of the pack, it also made for easy water dispensing and increase comfort for the person wearing the pack.
5. Black Diamond Alpine Start jacket. This lightweight (7 oz) jacket is the ideal combination of keeping an individual warm with it's wind-proof fabric and helmet-compatible hood. A person who wears this jacket will be able to stay clean because of the fabric's specific treatment and will be able to enjoy an active day.
This list serves as a helpful guide for how to enjoy the great outdoors and comment below to share any camping, or "glamping," gear that would be helpful to know about.
